Agents for Service of Process
Every motor carrier, freight forwarder or broker is required to designate an agent for service of process in each state which is authorized to operate (or for brokers, where it conducts activity).
It
is important, we believe, that carriers, brokers and freight forwarders
take this requirement seriously since any federal, state or private
claimant can serve suit papers on your agent and take a default judgment
against you if you do not respond in a timely manner. The firm recommends

fulfill this statutory requirement. SPA uses only qualified attorneys
